I’m running in support of autism awareness because this cause is deeply personal to me. I spent several years working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where I had the privilege of supporting children with autism and seeing their growth firsthand. Now, as a teacher, I continue to work with students with autism every day, advocating for their needs and celebrating their successes. This fundraiser allows me to continue giving back to a community that has given me so much purpose and passion.
Why I’m running
I’m proud to be running in the Disney Marathon in support of a foundation dedicated to autism awareness and support. My passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum began in middle school and has grown into a meaningful career over the past several years. For the last four years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children with autism an experience that continues to be the most rewarding part of my day.
I previously worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where I supported children in developing essential skills and reaching their full potential. Today, I carry that same passion into my role as a teacher, where I strive to create an inclusive, supportive environment for every student. Running this marathon is not just a personal challenge it’s a way for me to give back to a community that has shaped who I am both personally and professionally.
