The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of everyday life for people and families with autism by helping provide access to resources like education, employment, and extracurricular social activities. These resources go a long way for building confidence and preparing individuals for independent living.
For me, this mission is deeply personal, as my own cousin has lived with autism his whole life. I have seen firsthand the challenges that families like my own can face on a daily basis. At the same time, I have also seen how amazing their lives can be when provided with the proper support. Multiple studies estimate that in some cases, additional care for a child with autism can cost over $1 million over their lifetime. By donating, you are reducing this burden on countless families and giving people like my cousin the chance to pursue life-changing opportunities.
