Now more than ever, I am so grateful to be a part of a community that has supported the Allen Independent School District in many ways.  Since joining the AISD family in 2003, I never cease to be amazed at the loving support from the community – either locally or distant.  In the past 2 years the Foundation For Allen Schools Educational Grant Program has awarded 59 science and technology grants as well as 37 math grants in support of the District’s STEM initiatives.  An additional $143,100 helped promote our graduating seniors through the Foundation’s scholarship program.  Last year, the teachers and staff donated over $100,000 to the Foundation in addition to their volunteering and time.  What a fabulous 2019!  Thank you to everyone one who donated money or their time or both!

And now……..here we are in 2020.  While much of the world has come to a screeching halt; the mission of the Foundation For Allen Schools cannot be placed on pause.  At this time of the year one of our biggest fund raisers would normally be held to support the scholarships and grants.  Last year it was a fun Vegas Nights theme and this year it is Covid 19!  The gala has been postponed until next year but the mission can’t wait.  The kids and teachers NEED us!  I know that many people are affected in different ways.  Please consider, if you are able, donating any amount to help the mission through this online fundraiser to cover the money the gala would have raised.
