In early 2023 we officially launched our Women's Empowerment Group (W/E), the group will support Club activities for girls and help to provide resources for our staff and youth. So far the group has over 25 members and we would love to have you join us.

A huge thank to those who have gotten involved with W/E, we appreciate you!

The group served as advisors as we planned the first ever BGC W/E Women & Girls Conference, held on May 11, 2023 at our Spruce Street Clubhouse.  Female members of the community gathered to facilitate workshops and concersations as well as participate in group activities and empower young women.

Introduction to the Club & W/E 

• Club Mission  
  • To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. 
• Core Beliefs  
  • Is to provide safe places for youth to learn and grow, build ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, and participate in life-enhancing programs.  We inspire and prepare all Mercer County youth to reach their full potential and achieve their dreams. 
• Purpose of W/E 
  • In that same tone we want to make sure that we are exposing the young ladies at the Club to empowered women, who reflect diversity, professionalism and strength.  

• • • Provide opportunities to increase your volunteer experience and support of programming with Boys & Girls Club. 
    • Gain awareness of club programs and services within the community  
    • Support the Club's annual W/E Conference  
    • Attend the Club’s networking events.   
    • Opportunities to Mentor tween & teen girls from the Club  
    • Encouraging Girl focused fundraising for programs. 
    • Create a pipeline to diversify the Board/Donors
