Team Mr. Wilson

I’m Vely and my dogs, Mr. Wilson and Astrid are the face of the Walk this year! We’re honored to be a part of this grand finale event and are excited to raise more money to help the animals in need.

Mr. Wilson was given to me from a pet store that was not able to sell him due to a fractured leg when he was a puppy in 2019. Since then he’s been my inspiration for all that I do. I started an Instagram for him in 2020 with almost 10k followers. Check him out at mr.wilson_toyaussie. He’s helped me overcome many fears, was the light through my darkest times and helped me discover my passion for dog training. Since July of last year I’ve started offering doggy day care, boarding, and board & train in my home through the Rover app.

I have also fostered dogs that people needed help to re-home through Facebook.

I have a Border Collie named Astrid who was rescued from Save Our Herders Outreach and I also have a Chihuahua mix named Roxy who was given to me from a friend that had an unplanned litter.

To sum it up, animals are my calling and I’m thankful to be in the position to help as much as I can.
