I battled and beat breast cancer in 2020 and again the very next year. I felt so alone at times due to Covid and the restrictions that were in place at the hospitals during that time. I didn't even know that Carolina Breast Friends and the Pink House existed until I had completed my treatment and drove by the house one afternoon. I wish I had known that they kept their doors open the entire time when the world shut down. They continued to offer support and resources to those battling cancer. I don't want anyone to ever feel like I did during my journey. Since dropping into the Pink House a few years ago as a Survivor, I have connected with lots of new friends and even friends from my past. I love the support CBF gives and the sense of community that is felt when attending events with other fighters, survivors and thrivers! They don't let you walk this journey alone and there during and after the fight!
About Me
I am currently living in Charlotte, NC, but grew up in Norfolk, Va and Salisbury, NC. I graduated from Catawba College in 2003. I enjoy being active outdoors hiking, taking my SUP to the lake and taking classes at the Harris Express YMCA. My health is a top priority and I enjoy helping others get started on their journey.
I am an Account Manager at RGA Enterprises.
Where You'll See Me in My Wig
Harris Express YMCA, the local greenways, and Carolina Beach. I am looking forward to connecting with people in the community and telling them about The Pink House and the available programs they offer to anyone during and after their battle with breast cancer.
