In a country as rich as the U.S. and a world as capable of sustaining all living beings on it as ours, the fact that we still permit homelessness to exist is a shame that cries out to God. Of course the richest among us should be pulling their weight in the fight against poverty, food insecurity, and homelessness. But even we "regular" people can have a huge impact toward affordable housing, healthcare, and food, as well as finally a higher minimum wage.
