True to our mission (and name), Boston Common AM is participating in the 8th Annual Winter Walk to raise awareness of homelessness in the Boston community and financially support the local nonprofit organizations working to alleviate suffering and address the root causes of homelessness.
Boston's inaugural Winter Walk was launched in February 2017. On a frigid New England day, nearly 1000 people participated in our first 2-mile march through Boston to end homelessness. Just a few years later we’ve more than doubled our impact. The 2023 Winter Walk raised over one million dollars. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the partner organizations.
Please join us for the 2-mile walk on February 11, 2024 which starts and ends on the Boston Common! If you are unable to make the in-person event, you are welcome to register as a remote walker and pick a short walk in your area.
Event Schedule
8:30am - Registration opens, meet our partners!
9:00am - Community presentation begins at the main stage
9:25am - The walk begins! Look out for people in neon hats to help show the way
10:00am - Walkers return, a community breakfast, meet our partners
11:00am - The Winter Walk concludes, thank you for coming!
