I want to express my heartfelt thanks for taking a moment to visit my fundraising page.

As most of you know, our son Nash was born with a congenital heart defect that went undetected in my fetal ultrasounds. The nurse in the afternoon after my delivery noticed a heart murmur. Later that night, Nash had an elevated heart rate, but they checked his O2 saturations and those were seemingly "fine." We were discharged from the hospital after 24 hours. Our pediatrician didn't hear a heart murmur when Nash was five days old at his first check up. It wasn't until Nash was in cardiogenic shock on Thanksgiving that we learned of his heart defect. By the grace of God and wonderful medical teams, Nash is here today but it makes me ill thinking about how we could have lost him. I want to do all I can to ensure this doesn't happen to any other family! My commitment to making a difference has led me to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for me. It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives. This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research.
