Dear Alumni, Family, and Friends,
We hope this letter finds you in good health and joyful spirits! My name is Rasul Jackson, and I have taken over as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at SUNY Delhi in Fall 2023. My focus over the past two seasons has been fostering positive relationships with our students, community members, fans, colleagues, and student athletes.
During the first season, we faced very tough challenges. Minimal interest, low roster participation, and a canceled season. This put a damper on our recruiting efforts for the following season. Despite those challenges, this past season, we established accountability and ownership, defined our culture, and successfully completed a full season, ending our year with 13 participating members while finishing with a 3.0 Team G.P.A.
We aim to continue building a unified and competitive program and enhance our student-athlete experience on and off the playing surface. We are planning to participate in our first premier Division III NCAA basketball Tournament in New York City! This trip will give us the opportunity to experience a new atmosphere, enhance education through historical sites, experience new competition, and provide a great opportunity for team bonding and on-court chemistry.
We are currently fundraising to support our Fall 2026 trip; every donation helps lower the out-of-pocket cost. Please consider supporting our program and helping create meaningful and unforgettable memories for our student-athletes. Their tireless dedication to their sport and academics makes memories like this possible. As a former college basketball player, I know how impactful this experience can be and vow to give our athletes a great experience. With your help, we can continue to advance and improve the Bronco Women's Basketball Program!
