4 MORE WAYS TO PARTICIPATE IN WORLD COMA DAY

The Neurocritical Care Society and the Curing Coma® Campaign are excited to invite you to this year's World Coma Day on March 22.

The mission of World Coma Day is to raise awareness about coma, its profound impact on patients and their families and the critical need for ongoing research and support.

Ready to join the cause? Here are four steps to get involved this year.

The first 250 people to donate at least $25 will receive a Curing Coma bandana!

Wear your bandana throughout the month to show your support for the cause.

Registration is now open for this free event, though we encourage you to make a donation during your registration and to set a fundraising goal, as your support helps turn the goals of World Coma Day into reality.

By registering, you'll be able to:

  • Hear stories of remarkable recovery,
  • Learn about progress in curing coma through science talks by medical experts,
  • Explore educational sessions for patients and families, and
  • Celebrate our collective progress through "shout out" videos from providers, patients and families around the world.

When registering for World Coma Day, you'll have the opportunity to set a fundraising goal. The money raised during World Coma Day helps to sponsor research and education aimed at improving the care and treatment of brain diseases and injuries, with a particular focus on developing a cure for coma.

Set up your individual fundraising page and share the page with your network on social media, your family, friends and organizations to reach your goal!

Tag @neurocritical in your post to provide visibility to your post and within our community.

Sharing your story has an impact, and we look forward to celebrating you during World Coma Day this year. Film a short video to showcase your unit, share a Story of Hope or highlight the importance of research for disorders of consciousness. Submit a Shout Out today!

This is an opportunity for providers, patients and families around the world to talk about their experiences with coma. Need inspiration? View our Shout Out playlist.

Get ready to dust off those running shoes! March Miles is our running/walking challenge and an opportunity for you to raise awareness about World Coma Day and fundraise to reach your goals.
