My son, Omari, has severe Hemophilia A, a lifelong bleeding disorder that has required our family to learn a whole new world of medications, treatments, appointments, precautions, and advocacy.
From the beginning, the West Virginia Chapter of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) has been one of our greatest sources of support. They have made sure that we are educated about Omari’s diagnosis and treatment, connected to other families who truly understand this life, and able to overcome financial barriers so that Omari can make it to the appointments and care he needs.
But they don’t just do this for our family. The WV Chapter supports individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders throughout our entire state—providing education, advocacy, community, resources, and financial assistance when families need it most.
When you donate to our fundraiser, you are helping make sure families like ours don't have to navigate a bleeding disorder diagnosis alone. You are helping children like Omari receive the care they need while giving their families a community that understands, supports, and stands beside them.
We are incredibly grateful for everything the WV Chapter of NBDF has done for Omari and our family, and we would love your help giving that same support back. ❤️
All money raised stays within our community and funds crucial advocacy, education, research, and support services. Our collective passion for this cause drives us, and we need your support to make a difference! Every donation—big or small—helps us reach our fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause.
Here's how you can help:
