Meet Oreo

Meet Oreo.png

Oreo came to Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center (MSRPAC) in February of 2021 after his owner could no longer care for him. When he came into our care he had overgrown nails, a painful ear infection, and had hair loss on a majority of his body due to severe allegies. Staff and volunteers immediatly sprung into action in order to get Oreo on the path to heath. In November 2021 Oreo was adopted by a family that was willing help him manage his allergies and most importantly, show him the unconditional love he deserves.

Here is what Oreo's mom, Dr. Diana Stiles has to say about him:
Oreo is so full of personality! He is so friendly and easy-going, always being able to walk into any room of dogs or people wagging his tail and thinking that everyone is there to see him, but he has been absolutely obsessed with me since the day we brought him home (I am truly his person and his favorite thing!). When I am home (or really anywhere) with him, he literally only leaves my side to eat and play with his 1 year old lab brother, also a rescue.

Whenever we start to get Oreo's food ready, he lets out this high pitch squeal and howl of excitement that goes on until the food hits his bowl, every single time. It sometimes startles guests until they realize that he is truly that excited to eat, every single time!

From the moment we brought his brother home in January of 2022 as a 3 month old puppy, he and Oreo have been best buds, sometimes wrestling, playing and running so hard through the second floor of the house that it sounds like they're going to come through the floor some days- you would never guess he is a senior and 50 pounds smaller when he is playing with his brother!

Thank you Dr. Stiles for giving Oreo his second chance! Oreo is just one of the few thousands of pets who come through MSRPAC’s doors each year. MSRPAC takes the promise of providing second chances seriously and do all that they can for these pets, pets like Oreo, no matter the cost or expense. Thanks to supporters like you, we can continue to provide second chances to pets like Oreo.
