Why I Walk

In the fall of 2018 I lost my mother to early onset Alzheimer's when she was only 72 years old. I have made it a personal mission to help raise awareness, provide education and support, and raise funds for research. My hope is that one day no one has to suffer llike my family did.

More than 6 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer's. Seventy-three percent are age 75 or older. About 1 in 9 people age 65 and older (10.7%) has Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's begins 20 years or more before memory loss and other symptoms develop. The time is now to act - let's support those who are already suffering and protect ourselves, our children and future generations from this devastating disease.
