We are proud to be part of the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin's 19th Annual Awareness Walk and 5K Run, Roll and Stroll because it means so much to us and to our family. Paul is again the race director for the 5K Run, Roll and Stroll. Please consider joining us at the run and the walk! It's always so much fun!!
Hannah never ceases to amaze!
Hannah finished preschool at Messiah Preschool and at Deerfield Elementary School. She attended each school two days a week. While at Messiah she learned about Jesus and was completely included throughout the school day with her typical peers. It was a fabulous experience for Hannah and I believe made her ready to enter K4 next year. Hannah participated in school programs like Grandparent's Day, the Christmas Pageant, Mothers' Day and Closing Ceremonies. I was so proud of what she accomplished during these programs. She performed as good as (and sometimes better than) all the other kids.
Hannah has been working hard in Speech, Occupational Therapy and in Physical Therapy. This year she mastered jumping! She is so very proud of herself!!! Mrs. Wendy, Paul and I couldn't be more proud. She is commenting and is talking in 5+ word sentences. Fine motor continues to be a struggle for Hannah; but she loves to color and has begun to color pictures.
Last September Hannah started dance class at Young Dance Academy in Oak Creek. She just LOVES dancing! She is the youngest girl in class but is a shining star. I can't wait to see her perform next Spring in her first Dance Recital.
In Hannah's spare time she likes to cheer on Alex at his baseball games and has made some friends. She's beginning to play with the other little girls and just loves feeling like a big girl!
