30th Annual Statewide Down Syndrome Awareness Walk 2026

Kennedy's Wildflowers

September 27, 2026 10:00am - 2:30pm

Kennedy's Wildflowers

Just like wildflowers, there is no one else quite like Kennedy. Wildflowers are beautifully individual and wonderfully unexpected. They grow in places where you might not think anything could flourish—even pushing through the cracks in concrete. They are resilient, determined, and impossible to overlook.

That is our Kennedy.

Kennedy brings joy, determination, and a whole lot of personality everywhere she goes. She loves being active, and is always ready to join the fun—whether she is playing soccer or basketball, swimming, spending time with family and friends, or making sure everyone knows exactly how she thinks things should be done.

Kennedy has Down syndrome, but that is only one part of who she is. She is funny, loving, strong-willed, capable, and completely herself. She continues to teach us that growth happens on each person’s own timeline, that differences should be celebrated, and that inclusion means giving every person the opportunity to participate, contribute, and truly belong.

Whether it is a friend, family member, neighbor, classmate, or colleague, almost all of us know someone with Down syndrome or a related disability. Like many of you, our family has been personally touched—and forever changed—by the lives of these incredible individuals.

We are proud to participate in the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin’s 30th Annual Statewide Down Syndrome Awareness Walk because it means so much to Kennedy and our entire family. DSAW provides programs, resources, advocacy, connection, and support for individuals with Down syndrome and their families while helping create stronger, more inclusive communities.

Please consider supporting Kennedy’s Wildflowers in any way you can. You can make a donation, share our fundraising page, or register to walk with our team. Every donation, no matter how large or small, supports individuals with Down syndrome. It all adds up and makes a meaningful difference.

Donating through this website is simple, fast, and secure—and it is the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts. To sponsor Kennedy and our team, simply click Donate Now.

Please share our page with your friends, family, colleagues, and anyone else who may want to donate or join Kennedy’s Wildflowers at the Walk.

Because when every wildflower is given the space and support to grow, the world becomes a much more beautiful place.
