As many of you know just short of two years ago I received the news I would be starting my dream job, working for the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin. This year I am launching my own walk team, WEM'S WALKERS, to help raise money for a cause that I am so deeply passionate about. Throughout my time at DSAW I have been touched my so many life changing self advocates and this is my chance to give back to them. Friends and family, if you want to join me in our STATEWIDE celebration of Down syndrome on Sunday, September 25th at the Milwaukee County Zoo please register using my team name "Wem's Walkers" and I will reach out to you via text about the happenings for the day (basically loads of cooking out and fun). If you are unable to join me that day, any donations, small or large is so greatly appreciated! I set my goal really high at $5000 this year, but I think we can do it!

Whether it's a friend, a family member, or neighbor down the street, we almost all know someone with Down syndrome or related disabilities. Like us, many of you have been personally touched by the lives of these individuals. We are proud to be part of the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin's 26th Annual Statewide Down Syndrome Awareness Walk because it means so much to us and to our family.
