EXPERIENCE COLLEGE LACROSSE AT THIEL

Take your game to the next level at the Thiel College Women’s Lacrosse Prospect Camp.

Designed for high school student-athletes who are interested in experiencing the demands and environment of college lacrosse, this three-hour prospect camp gives participants the opportunity to train, compete, and learn directly from the Thiel College Women’s Lacrosse coaching staff.

Campers will be challenged through skill development, footwork and agility work, position-specific instruction, competitive drills, man-up/man-down situations, and game-like competition.

More than just a skills clinic, this camp is an opportunity to experience how college lacrosse players train and compete while gaining valuable instruction and feedback from college coaches.

Our goal is for every camper to leave Thiel with improved fundamentals, greater confidence, a stronger understanding of the game, and a better feel for what it takes to compete at the collegiate level.

Work on shooting technique, execution, and scoring opportunities.

Dodging & 1v1 Defense
Compete in individual offensive and defensive situations.

Draw Controls
Develop technique and decision-making in draw situations.

Position-Specific Training
Receive instruction based on the skills and responsibilities of your position.

Footwork & Agility
Improve movement, change of direction, balance, and athleticism.

Lacrosse IQ & Decision-Making
Learn to recognize situations and make quicker, more effective decisions.

Communication
Develop one of the most important components of successful team defense and offense.

The Rissel-Scheyer Dome provides an indoor training environment that allows campers to focus on development and competition regardless of December weather conditions.

WHAT TO BRING

Campers should arrive prepared to participate and bring:

  • Lacrosse stick
  • Mouthguard
  • Goggles/helmet as appropriate for position
  • Athletic shoes
  • Athletic clothing
  • Water bottle
  • Positive attitude
  • Competitive spirit

MEET THE CAMP DIRECTOR

Marina Adelizzio

Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach | Thiel College

Coach Marina Adelizzio is entering her second season as Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Thiel College after previously serving two seasons as an assistant coach with the Tomcats.

During her time with the program, Adelizzio has helped develop accomplished student-athletes, including a PAC Midfielder of the Year and USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American, as well as the program’s career saves record holder and a PAC Goalkeeper of the Year.

In 2024, the Tomcats returned to the PAC playoffs for the first time since 2021.

A former collegiate lacrosse player at Edinboro University, Adelizzio’s coaching philosophy emphasizes development, confidence, discipline, accountability, and teamwork. She believes student-athletes grow when they are challenged, supported, and given the tools to take ownership of their development.

At Thiel, Coach Adelizzio is committed to developing successful student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom.

Prospect Camp participants will have the opportunity to receive direct instruction from Coach Adelizzio while gaining greater insight into the skills, preparation, and mindset necessary to compete at the collegiate level.
