My son and I are doing another 100 Wave Challenge on Saturday, September 27th at Mission Beach benefiting Boys to Men Mentoring (B2M). The funds we raise together will support B2M's efforts to bring positive male mentorship to hundreds of young men in San Diego County.

Noah and I have been part of this event since the very beginning. Back then, he was just a little boy sitting on the beach, watching and cheering as we surfed. Now, almost 10 years later, he’s out in the water surfing right beside me.

I’m so grateful for this organization and the way it has shaped not only my life, but so many others—providing teens with father figures, brothers, and mentors to grow alongside. Even though Noah has me, he’s also found guidance, support, and brotherhood through the Boys to Men circles, and it’s been powerful to watch him grow.

We’re raising funds so that Boys to Men can continue their work in schools—helping young boys find the mentorship and support they need to grow into successful, confident men. Every contribution makes a difference. Please help us raise as much as we can to keep this life-changing program thriving!

Boys to Men Mentoring is a nonprofit organization facilitating consistent group mentoring for the fatherless, at-risk, and disconnected teenage boys of San Diego County. Through strategic partnerships with local middle schools, high schools, and community partner locations, Boys to Men connects teenage boys with compassionate mentors who provide the encouragement, empowerment, and accountability they need to thrive.

There is nothing more powerful than surrounding a young man with a community of support and giving him the opportunity to reach his fullest potential. I hope to do that this year by attempting to catch 100 waves in one day to raise money and awareness for Boys to Men.
