I ride becasue I learned about Anna from our daughter. They were college friends. I learned that Anna was bright, funny, spirited, a beautiful friend. She was going to be a dentist. They made plans for their futures that included each other.
I ride because I learned about Anna from our daughter. I learned through tears that Anna was struggling to survive. Through tears in ensuing phone calls I learned that Anna was gone.
I ride because I have HHT, a disorder that makes me more vulnerable to pulmonary embolisms.
I ride to support education, research and possible preventative measures so others don't have to go through what nearly 300 families go through everyday when they lose a loved one to a blood clot.
