Ronan's Rebels 2019

This will be our SIXTH year walking with and in support of our son Ronan on Team Ronan's Rebels, and we couldn't be more excited! The date is Saturday, September 21st from 8:30 to noon again at beautiful Wolfe Park in Saint Louis Park.

Last year we raised close to $4,000 and since we began walking, we have raised a grand total of well over $10,000. Our team goal of $5,000 this year is ambitious, but I know we can do it! We have been blessed with another uneventful year for Ronan's epilepsy and we are thankful each day. 60,000 people in our community suffer from epilepsy though and many of them, young and old, are not as lucky as Ronan. So much more research and education is needed for this condition that affects so many. Our kids love the Descendant movies on Disney and this year one of the main young actor's tragically passed away in his sleep from a seizure as a result of his epilepsy. Ronan heard the news in passing and asked me, "Do people die from epilepsy?" My answer was honest, "Yes, but you are blessed to have it not be that kind and we will keep working hard with Ronan's Rebels to help people like him and others who still struggle every day and to teach more people about how they can help." He was really excited to hear that his walk he does every year can help get us closer to that goal and that comfort eased his mind. We hope that you will join us in supporting this great cause as well.

We would love to have you walk with us, and also would be so thankful for a monetary donation. Every dollar helps, no matter the amount. Just $35 provides a Seizure Smart Education kit to a school classroom, something that was a great asset when Ronan started school. The impact of raising awareness and honoring a loved one though through your support is truly priceless.
