In Memory of Ruth Berg

Ruth Rocks!  Supports the Epilepsy Foundation in educating the community about epilepsy and for providing resources to those with epilepsy. We support you! 

Epilepsy was a big part of Ruth's life. The mental and physical effects of seizures, how a seizure affected her loved ones, the fear of changing medication, remembering to take her medication and medication side effects are some of the struggles she faced. Although Ruth had epilepsy for most of her life and dealt with difficult issues related to the disorder, she was a beacon of light to everyone that knew her.  She was smart and fun and vibrant and charming. Her sense of humor and wit was original and infectious.  You wanted to be around her just to hear what she would say next.  If there was a garden of the most beautiful flowers ever grown, there would be one flower that never stood above the others but it was just a bit more vibrant and its stem was just a bit stronger than the others. You'd never know there were a few missing petals in the back from the storms weathered by that flower.  That flower would be Ruth.  We walk to celebrate Ruth's life and to honor Ruth's struggles.
