My son Joshua has quite the story, At 7 weeks old my husband and I got Joshua in our home for foster care.  And before we knew it we were satin by yes to adopt him.  When Joshua was about 1 years old he was having some kind of stare off episodes he's wasn't responsive at all during these episodes.  By the time he was 1 1/2 years old he had a "grand mall" seizure.  From that day his (our) life took a us on a different path that we weren't expecting. Not only did my husband and I just get married we were raising 5 kids and now we have a little guy who has stole our heart. With very little info about Joshua's bio family we started our journey with doctors.  Our first trip to the mayo clinic in Rochester,  MN and many more to come and many different meds we decided took start looking for a new doctor.  We decided to doctor in St Paul, MN with the Minnesota Epilepsy Group. With every trial and error and many different med changes we learned so much more about Joshua.  Not only did Joshua have epilepsy, the diagnosis were flooding in.  Not to bore you all with them all but to name the majors: autism, FAS, and of course Epilepsy.  After doctor appts on top of appts. And a trip to John Hopkins Meducal Center. Joshua had the VNS installed back in 2015 and recently just had it updated.  There is so much to his story I'm not telling you but just know it's been a rough but yet amazing journey he has brought all whom love him on.
