Rochester Walk

My story started on August 2nd, 2018. I was packing boxes because my family and I were moving into a new house in the county. My husband took a load of boxes out to our new house while I stayed at the old house and packed more boxes. When he came back to the house he found me laying on the floor and he couldn't get me to wake up. He then called 911 and waited for the ambulance to arrive. Once the ambulance arrived I had woken up but was unable to remember what had happened. At that time, I was taken to the hospital and had some tests done to make sure that everything was ok, I was then released to go home. I rested for a couple of days at home, before going to see my family doctor who thought it would be a good idea for me to see a neurologist because the CT scan that had been done in the ER showed a sign of a seizures. It took about a month to get into a neurologist. During that time, I had a couple more seizures, but at the time we were unsure if that was what was happening. Since September, I have been going to the neurologist in New Ulm every 60 days. I have had two, 4 hour EEGs; one, 4 day EEG at home; and have been on 5 different types of medication, in hopes to find one that will control the seizures. Currently, we haven't been able to find a medication that has been able to stop the seizures. On average, I am having 2 to 3 seizures a day. They vary from just staring off seizures to ones that I completely lose all control of my arm. My family has had to go through many different changes, from me not being able to drive to not feeling comfortable leaving me alone. And to being tired all the time where it is difficult to do much in the evenings. I believe that one day I will find the right medication or surgery, that will give me my independence back.
