I’m working with Gift of Life Marrow Registry to raise money for this year’s Steps for Life Virtual 5k! Would you please help me? I’d love to have your support in raising funds and awareness for this awesome organization.

Steps for Life Virtual 5k holds a special place in my heart and I do hope that you can join me!  I walk in honor of my cousin, Jared Schulman. Jared has been conquering his battle with cancer for many years now. Raising funds for this organization allows individuals like my cousin the opportunity to find a match in a Marrow Donor.

I have accepted an offer to start my career as a Brand New Nurse on the Medical Intensive Care Unit of a Level 1 Trauma Center. Half of my unit is dedicated to fighting COVID-19. Nothing like jumping right into the pandemic after graduation, am I right? In addition to fighting COVID-19 on the frontlines, I am fighting blood cancer by participating in Gift of Life Steps for Life Virtual 5k. This cause is important to me because of my cousins diagnosis, but also because we can actually cure leukemia, lymphoma, and 100 other diseases with stem cell and marrow transplants. 

Please help me celebrate my new job offer by joining in the fight to cure cancer. My goal is to help Gift of Life add new donors to the registry. It costs $60 to add each new donor to the registry and test their tissue type to learn if they are a match for a patient. I invite you to join me – please make a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal, and to give hope to those who are currently battling blood cancer.
