My Personal Fundraising Page
My SPCA golden retriever Maggie has crossed the rainbow bridge, so I will be walking in memory of her and all the remarkable rescue dogs and cats whose antics over the past 50 years still make me smile.
Zoey and Mookie, my adventure cats, are learning to walk on a leash and will be helping me raise funds this year. Zoey survived a life-threatening head injury and Mookie triumphed over a year-long infection following the removal of her eye. Thanks to the care they received at SPCA Florida, they are now bouncy, snuggly and full of beans!
Last year's Walk donations helped to re-home 3,750 homeless animals and to spay/neuter 4,096, including 965 admitted to SPCA Florida’s Adoption Center, 2,304 owned animals and 1,437 community cats. The goal is to help even more this year.
Each of the animals adopted from SPCA Florida must be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, fed, housed, and often treated for illnesses or injuries that their adoption fees do not begin to cover. I hope you will sponsor me, so that animals like Zoey and Mookie can receive the care they need to be re-homed to loving families.
Any amount will help make a difference to at least one homeless animal!
