Hi Everyone! This is our first year participating in the Gingerbread Home Build to support Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity’s Veteran Build. This event means a lot to Joe and I since we have many veterans in our family. Some still with us and some not. We know the sacrifice veterans make/made and they deserve to have a HOME! They fought for the American Dream and we want to help make that dream possible for them.

Our Gingerbread House Story: For our first year, Joe and I wanted to theme to be what our house means to us. Our house is something Joe can decorate like Clark Griswold, a place where I can provide shelter to my kids and multiple pets (our little personal zoo), a place where our daughter can paint, draw and create art and a place where our son can build a rocket to the moon. It is a place where the kids can dream, use their imaginations, and play with neighbors, friends and family. It is a place where Joe and I can teach the kids about God, love and life. It is not just a house; it is a home and we want to help give that feeling of home to others.
