We all have been effected in some way by cancer whether it be personally, family, friend, neighbor or co-worker. As a director on the Purple Plunge board I have read almost 200 applications for assistance. Many are heartbreaking. Children, young parents, moms, dads, grandparents. Many are uplifting. In the face of adversity the human spirit can really shine. I have also read many thank you cards and emails thanking the Purple Plunge community for the financial assistance we provide. Many recipients show their appreciation by forming teams to fundraise to pay it forward. Your donation does make a difference in peoples lives.
I'm asking you to please donate or better yet enroll as a participant, do your own virtual plunge to raise funds and help those in our community who are battling cancer.
Hopefully we will be able to gather soon for an after plunge party to give support to those battling cancer, to recognize survivors and to celebrate the lives of those we lost.
