I'm raising money this year in honor of my sweet girl, Lola, who has brought so much joy to our lives through her companionship these past 13 years. Sadly, Lola recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge, so I'm raising money in her honor for all the shelter pets who deserve to have a family that loves them as much as we love Lola.

Care for 16,000 animals annually
96% live-release rate ("no-kill" status)
Open door policy to shelter strays and owner-surrendered pets
Animal protective services respond to and combat animal abuse and neglect
Low-cost veterinary care and other safety-net resources like a pet food pantry help keep pets in their homes even if their families fall on hard times
Temporary sheltering for pets when an individual or family is a victim of domestic violence; assistance with housing issues, such as finding pet-friendly housing or helping to pay a pet deposit fee
Community cat programs to keep feral populations healthy and contained
