Our 2022 Walk will take place at Alfred B. Maclay State Gardens (3540 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee FL 32309) on November 20, 2022 from 1:00pm -3:00pm. 

The Forget-Me-Not-Walk will feature BabyGray, one of North Florida’s most popular bands. Baby Gray plays a mix of rock, soul, blues, and country performed on acoustic guitar and the vocals of Michelle Milligan and Bobby Kennedy.

This is a family-friendly event. Fabulous food trucks will be on hand, a Beer Garden, dancing by the always engaging Mountain Dew Cloggers, games and face-painting for the kids—and you’ll enjoy the park’s picturesque brick walkway, nature trails and beautiful ornamental gardens.

Most importantly, you’ll be supporting the wonderful work done by the Alzheimer’s Project. “When a loved one is diagnosed with dementia, it can be overwhelming. We help families navigate those times of fear and uncertainty,” said John Trombetta, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Project. “Through grants, donations, and fundraisers like the Forget-Me-Not-Walk, we’re able to offer our services free of charge. That way no one in the Big Bend needs to face dementia alone.”

The money raised from the Forget-Me-Not Walk will help local families in need through the following programs and services:

• Respite care including music therapy and exercise therapy
• Support groups for caregivers
• Training for caregivers
• Personal and family counseling
• Programs to locate those who wander
• Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Manual

Tickets for the event are $35 per walker, and children walk free. If you register before November 10th, you’ll receive a free t-shirt and pedometer!
