In 2017, I was diagnosed with severe postpartum preeclampisa eight days after delivering my daughter. I got admitted into the hopsital with a magnesium drip after so many warning signs of blurred vision, pounding headache, low heart rate, low oxygen levels, and feeling like I just could not get a good breath.
My goal now is to make sure mothers know the signs and symptoms of preeclampsia because it can happen after delivery. You should own a blood pressure cuff during and after pregnancy and you should monitor it before you become pregnant so you know your baseline numbers for your body.
I believe husbands should come home with their wife from the hopsital and I believe that families should get to come home with their babies.
We can make a difference in our community so please consider making a donation so we can get education to everyone, which can save a life!
I felt so alone and felt like nobody really understood what I was battling mentally and I never want a mother to feel the way that I did. I want to be that for our community.
Thank you for donations!
