Thank you for visiting my 2022 Promise Walk for Preeclampsia fundraising page.
I am grateful for your donations and for your help in spreading the word about preeclampsia. My goal is to help our community raise funds and awareness and save the lives of moms and babies!
Please make a donation to support our efforts to fund education and research into this life-threatening disorder of pregnancy.
I was a first time mom on the autism spectrum when I was diagnosed with serve preeclampsia at the age of 23. It took 3 24 hour urine tests to determine that I had preeclampsia. I was induced at 37 weeks and 2 days and had my daughter at 37 weeks and 3 days. After I give birth I fell extremely ill and had to be put on magnesium sulfate and had 5 bags of that ran through me. I was scared and afraid that I was gonna die and leave my husband who at the time was in the army alone to raise our daughter, I was afraid that our daughter wouldn't grow up with a mom. Thankfully I survived to share my story in hopes to help others as well as their partner's cause no one talks about what the partners go through while their wife is going through preeclampsia.
