On Sunday, March 5, 2023 Pete and I will be participating our first ever Polar Plunge.
We're joining Team Eileen In and will plunge in honor of Eileen and the role she has played in our life. A beautiful 7 year old girl, Eileen has Downs Syndrome. She is our next door neighbor and over the past 6 years, she has taught our family lessons of compassion, kindness and love. We are proud to support Eileen, her family and Special Olympics. One day, we hope to cheer her on as a Special Olympics athlete.
On a personal note, this is one step in our healing journey after my Mom's passing. We also plunge in her memory. We'll keep "leaning in" and living life to the fullest - with purpose, joy and an open heart - just as my Mom always did.
