On Sunday, March 5, 2023 Avery & I will be participating in the 2023 Chicago Polar Plunge, celebrating more than 20 years of plunging! We are excited to take on the challenge of the Chicago Polar Plunge and jump in to Lake Michigan’s chilly waters to support thousands of athletes that participate in Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children’s Charities programs. With your support, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities, and accomplishments. Obviously, this hits near and dear to us. Avery is plunging to help support her friend Eileen and their family. I am also plunging for Eileen and many others who touch my heart on a daily basis as a special education teacher!
