JIM'S 50TH BIRTHDAY FREEDOM RUN

October 23, 2023 would have been Jim's 50th birthday.....so as we gather on October 14th for the James W. Foley Freedom 5K Run/Walk, let us:

REMEMBER Jim and so many others who have died to keep us free!

TELL OTHERS about the hundreds of innocent Americans held captive abroad

RAISE FUNDS to help them come home!

For those to don't know my story....I am Diane Foley, the mother of American journalist, James Foley, who was kidnapped, tortured and murdered in Syria in 2014. 

Three months after his public beheading, we started the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation to advocate for freedom for other Americans held captive abroad and to protect aspiring journalists. 

Since 2015, 122 Americans have returned home from overseas captivity and hundreds of journalism students and freelance journalists have had safety education.

But hundreds of Americans are still held hostage abroad.  Now nations like Iran, China, Russia, Syria and Venezuela target and wrongfully arrest our citizens like Austin Tice, Evan Gershkowich, Britney Griner and hundreds of lesser known US nationals.

SO I NEED 50 FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CARING STRANGERS TO JOIN WITH ME FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD TO HELP BRING THEM HOME AND MAKE OUR WORLD SAFER FOR ALL!
