I need your help! Please support me as I walk in the 2023 Capital Area Humane Society’s Walk for the Animals.

CAHS does so many things to help pets and their people every single day in our community. Our shelter has adopted over 1600 dogs and cats this year. Our low-cost (and often free!) Spay & Neuter clinic has fixed over 3,400 animals just in 2023. We have a food bank program that helps families keep their pets in their homes. Our Community Cat program fixes feral/free-roaming cats for *free*. We offer pet behavior assistance - again, to try to assist families so they can keep their pets in their homes. We do these things and SO much more on a daily basis.

Every day, animals arrive at the doors of the Capital Area Humane Society with nothing more than hope for a better future. With the economy struggling, it is no question that when people suffer, animals can suffer, but CAHS is there to take these animals in and provide them with food, shelter, medical care, and love.

With no state or federal funding and no affiliation with any other humane organizations, it is solely the support of the community that keeps CAHS going. Our work is critical - please assist us in our mission.
