1. When is the Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital?

The event will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Festival begins at 9:00AM. 

2. Where is the event taking place?

This year, the event will take place at Gellert Community Centre in Georgetown.  There will be a 3km and 5km route to choose from.

3. What does the Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital raise funds for?

The event raises money for essential equipment needs at Georgetown Hospital. These funds will translate into quicker assessment, earlier diagnosis, and life-saving treatment for members of our community!

4. Do I have to run?

No. The Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital prides itself on its broad accessibility. As a family-oriented event, adults and children of all ages are invited to run or walk. We welcome those with mobility aids to connect with us for more information on the route, terrain and any specific accessibility concerns you may have.

5. If I walk, do I have to register as a participant?

Yes, in order to participate in the Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital, you must register as an adult or youth participant.

6. If I invite others to join me on run day, do they have to register to participate?

We encourage anyone who wants to participate in the Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital to register as a participant online or on Walk or Run day.

7. Can I register in person on event day?

Yes, you can register on the day of, but we encourage registration prior to the event date. It also ensures you can get all of the perks (T-shirts, swag bags, etc.)!

8. Can I bring my dog to the event?

Yes. We are a family-friendly event, and that includes your furry family members!

9. How do I fundraise?

You can access participant fundraising tools on our Resources and Info page to get information on how you can successfully fundraise! Start by registering on this website as an individual participant, or you can join/start a team. Then you can share your fundraising page with your friends and family.

10. Do I still get a T-shirt and Goodie Bag with my registration?

Yes, we will have T-shirts and Goodie Bags for all of our participants who register in advance. More information will be coming out soon on pick-up options.

11. Can I share information about this event on social media?

Absolutely! We encourage you to share information about the event on your social pages. We have provided social media tools you can use on the Resources and Info page.  Please remember to use the hashtag #WalkRunGH when posting on social so you can share your experience with the community!
