What you need to know for the Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital

We are so excited to see you all back at the Gellert for our 15th Annual Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital!

We have exciting activities planned for this year's event, including a vendor fair, food for participants, activities for the kids and MORE! 

This year, all participants will be well fed prior to and following the Walk or Run. Thanks to these incredible partners, participants will receive: 

  • McDonald’s: Coffee and muffins in the morning, prior to Walk or Run
  • Pizza Pizza: Slices of pizza, post Walk or Run 
  • Terra Cotta Cookies: Ice Cream Sandwiches, post Walk or Run
  • Maple Lodge Farms: Hot Dogs, post Walk or Run

Olypmian - Jennifer Martins

Jennifer Martins is a two-time Olympian in rowing (Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020) and a four-time World Championships medalist. She is a full-time dentist with a practice in Komoka, Ontario and earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Western University in 2014. Jennifer Martin will be in attandence to help send you off to the races.

Brampton Batman Sponsored by Atlas IronWorks

There’s a whisper that Brampton Batman will be lurking in the Shadow of Georgetown on Sunday, September 24th in his Batmobile. The word on the street is that he may be making an appearance at the Gellert Community Centre on this day. Stay tuned.

Stricly Dance

Leading the way again this year, will be the amazing Strictly Dance team. They’ll be there to help get our bodies loose and groovin’ before we step foot on the 3KM and 5KM routes.  Strictly Dance will also be located in our Kids Activities with fun arts and crafts for all the kids.

Hub K9

The Walk/Run in support of Georgetown hospital is a fun family filled event and that includes your fur babies too. Hub-K9 will be there again with refreshments and treats to help cool off your furry friends.
