Thank you for stopping by my personal fundraising page for The Arc of Essex County's 26th Annual Building Tomorrows 5K Run/Walk. My name is Augie and I am in 6th grade. When I was in elementary school I was able to be a part of the class for kids with autism and disabilities. I used to read books and hang out with their class. I also got to go to gym with them. I became friends with everyone in the class. I am now in middle school and do not get the chances that I had in elementary school to be in other classes. I read about the how the Arc helps kids with disabilities play sports and develop friendships. I want to be a part of this because with all of the prior knowledge that I have, this could be a way for me to do what I did in elementary school and to make new friends while also making a difference. Everyone deserves to seen and have friendships even when you are different from each other.
