Thousands of seizures beginning at 5 months old, countless 911 calls, ambulance rides, hospital stays, a medi-flight, covering all windows and lights in the house, isolating from family and friends… the list goes on. Hopeless and helpless is often how we felt. And yet, loving someone with Dravet means that sometimes hope and faith are all we have.

The Dravet Syndrome Foundation works tirelessly to ensure that families of loved ones with Dravet have hope when we have nothing else. If not for parents just like us coming together 15 years ago to fund and push for research for our children, I can’t imagine where we would be today. I know that Taylor wouldn’t be 6 months seizure free!

Seeing Taylor be able to play with her big sister and grow and learn since experiencing seizure freedom for the first time in her life gives me hope. Hope for new research, new therapies, and a quality of life everyone deserves to experience. 

Taylor is RESILIENT! She is KIND, BRAVE, and STRONG!
