Our family has been significantly impacted by Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias. My father, aunt, grandfather and mother-in-law all succumbed to Alzheimer's disease and my mother currently suffers from vascular dementia. Although it is a devastating disease, education, access to community resources and finding support with others who share this experience can help illuminate the path on the dementia journey. This is the reason why I volunteer with DANC to support other caregivers and those living with dementia and I am asking you to support me by donating, joining my team or both!
