Steps Toward a Cure
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the APDA Northwest Chapter Optimism Walk.
A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Since then, I’ve learned that Parkinson’s affects far more than movement alone — it touches many parts of daily life, not only for those living with it, but also for the families and friends who support them.
That’s why I’m participating in this walk and raising money for the American Parkinson Disease Association. Their work provides vital resources, education, and support for individuals and families navigating Parkinson’s, while also funding important research for better treatments and, one day, a cure.
I chose the team name Steps Toward a Cure because every step forward matters.
Any donation, no matter the size, truly helps. Your generosity supports people living with Parkinson’s today and brings hope for tomorrow. This year, I set my fundraising goal at $138,435, representing the number of feet in a marathon. Parkinson's is often described as a marathon, not a sprint, and every step we take together brings us closer to better treatments and, one day, a cure.
