This yeaer has been a big one for me and my Parkinson journey.
In May I attended the World Parksinson Congress in Pheonix as a SEYOPD Leander and an APDA NW Board member where I mingled with PWP, Advocates and Researchers, learning many things about managing my PD. I connected with my community and empoewred myself to live a better life.
In June I had Deep Brain Simulation Surgrey and so far it's been life changing. I move better, I feel better, and have much less tremors.
I was able to do these things because of the APDA Community based approach to helping PWP through education, research and community outreach. NOW is my timet to give back to them.
