I’m honored to be participating in my very first ASK 5K & Fun Walk this year!  Since joining the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation team as Special Events Coordinator in October 2025, I’ve been deeply inspired by the meaningful ways ASK shows up to make life better for children with cancer and their families in Virginia!  Seeing firsthand how ASK works every day to live this mission has been incredibly moving, and now I have the added joy of coordinating the beloved Walk alongside an incredible community of ASK supporters! 

While I am new to ASK, my family is no stranger to the mission. During the eight years my mom lived with breast cancer, our family participated in many walks and fundraisers supporting families affected by cancer. While I can’t walk alongside her today, she continues to guide me and remains “Why I Walk.” Now, as a mom myself, I’ll be participating with my husband and kids, united with ASK families in the belief that no one walks alone.
