In July of 2025, our world changed in a way no family is ever prepared for. Our sweet grandson Lawson, just two years old, was diagnosed with leukemia. At an age where life should be filled with carefree laughter, scraped knees, and bedtime stories, he was suddenly facing hospital rooms, treatments, and challenges far beyond his years.

Nothing can truly prepare you for watching a child go through something so difficult. It tests every belief system you think you have. It stretches your strength, your faith, and your understanding of the world. There are moments of fear, heartbreak, and exhaustion that words could never fully capture.

And yet, through it all, Lawson shines.

He meets each day with a bravery that humbles us. His strength is quiet but powerful, and his smile—his beautiful, resilient smile—reminds us what hope looks like. In the middle of something so heavy, he continues to bring light into every room he enters. Those smiles are worth more than words could ever explain.

His mommy and daddy have faced something no young parents should ever have to endure, and they have done so with a love, patience, and strength that is beyond words. Through every long day and sleepless night, every difficult decision and overwhelming moment, they have stood strong for Lawson—surrounding him with comfort, courage, and unwavering love along with his sister Lakelyn.

We know this journey is far from over. There is still a long road ahead filled with treatments, appointments, and uncertainty. But we are not walking it alone.

The outpouring of love we have received—from family, friends, coworkers, and even complete strangers—has been nothing short of extraordinary. It has lifted us on the hardest days and reminded us that even in the darkest moments, there is still so much goodness in the world. That love has renewed our hope.
