  • Announce that you are participating in Walk with a caption like:

    I registered for the ASK 5K & Fun Walk on May 16th! Join me and help make life better for children with cancer in VA!

  • Share your team's fundraising page and include a caption like:

    Every donation helps kids who are diagnosed with childhood cancer! 

    Go the extra mile for kids with cancer in VA! Donate to my ASK 5K & Fun Walk team to help us reach our goal!

    Every stride counts! Help me cross the finish line at this year’s ASK 5K & Fun Walk by making a donation today and supporting kids with cancer in VA!

  • Share photos from past Walk events.

  • Let your network know they can join you with a caption like:

    Join me to show families facing childhood cancer that they’re not walking alone!  Donate, join my team, or create a team of your own at askwalk.org.

    Register or donate at askwalk.org to help kids with cancer across VA! Hurry, because the Early Bird registration ends on January 31st! 

  • Leading up to Walk, share how close you are to your fundraising goal and invite your network to help you exceed it.

  • After Walk, share your results, photos of your team at the Walk, and inform your network they can still donate online with a caption like:

    We did it! Thank you to everyone who helped kids with cancer in VA. Together we raised [insert total amount]! 

    Thank you for going the extra mile for kids with cancer in VA. For those of you who still want to support the cause, you can still make a donation online! $50 can help provide a family with pediatric cancer a gas gift card to get to and from cancer treatment.

Facebook Tips

  • Set your goal and share it through your status updates.
  • Change your profile pic or header. 
  • Tell your followers why this event is important to you and ask them to support you.
  • Share the link for your personal fundraising page and/or team page for the walk in every post.
  • Talk about your progress.
  • Encourage your friends to join your team, make a donation or volunteer.
  • Thank your friends. Type in @ and their name, it should appear in a drop down box. Select their name to tag them.
  • Share posts from our ASK Facebook pages so friends can see why this is important to you. You can find us at https://www.facebook.com/ASKChildhoodCancerFoundation/ 

Instagram Tips

  • Update your profile pic, header, and bio with your fundraising information and a link to your personal fundraising page.
