This marks the fifth year The Steward School has supported the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation through our annual Clips for Cancer event. On Friday, February 20th, Steward students, parents, faculty, and staff will volunteer to donate eight inches of hair, which will be professionally cut during a schoolwide assembly. These hair donations are sent to Planet Hair, an organization that creates wigs for children affected by cancer or alopecia. Students who are unable to donate eight inches of hair have also volunteered to shave their heads as a powerful show of support. During this meaningful event, the Cancer Awareness Club will collect donations from the student body to benefit the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. Supporting children and families affected by cancer is deeply important to our community, and this event is one meaningful way we share compassion and care throughout the greater Richmond area.
