The team at ASK has been an incredible support to Conor and our whole family over the past year. Conor was diagnosed with Acute Promylocytic Leukemia in February 2025 and our whole world suddenly collapsed. We have been so fortunate that a community of family, friends, colleagues, organzations, and community members have lifted us up. ASK has walked this journey with us and showed up for us in ways we never imagined. Their staff supported us by checking in during inpatient stays and providing support for non-medical bills while in treatment. Conor's treatment required him to be at clinic 3-5 hours a day 5 days a week for many months and the ASK staff was always there with encouragement, activities, and a stocked treasure box to help Conor through the tougher days.
One unique program that Conor has been able to join this year is the First S.T.E.P. preschool classroom. It's been an incredible stepping stone for him to be able to play, learn and grow along with other kids his age in a safe environment with such kind teachers who understand the journey Conor and other children have been on.
We are so thankful that Conor finished treatment in October 2025, remains in remission, and is doing so well!
