Joseph was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in June 2024 at 13 months old. Medulloblastoma is an aggressive, fast-growing type of brain tumor and accounts for 20% of all childhood malignant brain tumors. You can never count Joseph out, however, and he is continuing his fight after: 88 overnight hospital stays, 34 doses of chemotherapy, 21 platelet transfusions, 16 surgical procedures (including brain surgery), 9 blood transfusions and 1 stem cell/bone marrow transplant.
2026 UPDATE - Joseph has been out of treatment for a little over a year and is doing fantastic! We now fill our days with all of the normal toddler things - playing, running and screaming like a wild man! He has continued receiving surveillance MRIs every 3-4 months and we are still NED (no evidence of disease and his latest MRI was 02/2026)! Joseph helped us welcome his sweet baby sister in November 2025 and is already the best big brother.

We are participating in the 21st Annual ASK 5k & Fun Walk to help raise money and awareness for our fellow pediatric cancer patients, survivors and families.
