2026 Dempsey Challenge

This year's Dempsey Challenge, which supports the Dempsey Center, will be held on Saturday September 19. This will be my seventh year participating in the challenge--running the 10K.

The center provides an amazing level of support for cancer patients, families and caregivers, from support groups to counseling, nutrition classes, yoga, massage, countless resources, etc., and their services are at no cost.

The impact that cancer has is so deep and prolonged and the Dempsey Center has an amazingly positive staff who are tireless in their support. The center has been a special place for our family, providing us with support in a number of ways, in the past as well as still today. Laurie and I talked in January of 2019 about our commitment to try to give back to the center which provided (and still provides) for our family.

* I urge you to PLEASE spread the word about the Dempsey Center. If you know somebody who is impacted by cancer, please have them look into the numerous ways that the center can provide support.

*If you find the desire and ability to help support the center you can support them directly through their site or through my fundraising page.
